According to the latest REAS report regarding the situation in the new residential units market, H1 2010 brought a series of optimistic signals in the market environment, which have not been fully reflected in the sales results.
The results of market monitoring study conducted by REAS indicated a significant increase in the number of units offered by developers, mainly due to the market relaunch of dwellings in projects suspended in the period of the crisis. Contrary to developers' expectations, the sales in Q2 2010 did not grow as compared to the previous quarter, despite the fact that the second, spring quarter is usually one of the two best periods of the year in terms of sales. Therefore it is worth to take a closer look at the phenomena which make up the current residential market situation in Poland.
